Stanford Wong's 'Green Chip' Website - April 15, 1998
Michael Barnett is exactly who he says he is. He attempted to join my
Greenbelt area last month, and he provided as his reference none other
than Peter Griffin. I called Peter, and Peter remembered meeting Barnett
in Australia when he was there a couple of years ago, at which time Barnett
was introduced to him as a member of one of Australia's biggest BJ teams.
Griffin, however, did not really have any contact with Barnett since that
time, and did not know what Barnett was up to these days.
Unbeknownst to Barnett, however, one of my Australian Greenbelters FAXed
me the brochures from Barnett's company, Surveillance Technologies, which
identifies Barnett as the founder of this corporation the sole purpose
of which is to identify card counters using various high-tech methods.
I then spoke by phone (and email) with two of the Australian bj team leaders
that Barnett once worked for before going over to the other side. According
to them, he probably knows more about card counting, shuffle tracking,
sequencing, team play, bj computers, etc., than most pros, as he was trained
by the best, and he was deeply involved in the analysis and development
of the computer programs used by these teams for game/strategy/system
analysis. These were multi-million dollar operations that are still in
existence, some of the most successful bj teams I personally know about.
According to the Aussie teams I spoke with, Barnett is very dangerous
and he is not having any difficulty selling his services to casinos in
Australia. I also find it strange that he outed himself the way he did.
Though he may be a flake, he is not a fake.
