Roulette

For the last 30 years or so, Blackjack has been the squeaky wheel getting all the attention from Casino Operators, Game Protection Consultants and Suppliers.
This attention has been justified, and generally speaking, the game of Blackjack has evolved to present few worthwhile opportunities to all but the most experienced and well financed professionals.
This does not mean that professional advantage players have all taken up ‘real’ jobs. Quite the contrary; as one door closes, another (often more lucrative) one opens.
Today the game of Roulette is drawing more attention from advantage players than at any time in the past.

Wheel Bias
The manufacturers of roulette wheels are constantly striving to create the truly random wheel. They perform exhaustive tests to prove that their wheels do not exhibit a bias.
Many features are incorporated into the most modern wheels to prevent a bias from developing or if a bias does develop, to make it very difficult for a player to identify.
Monitoring software provides the casino operator with the peace-of-mind that his wheels are not offering wheel trackers an advantage.
So…..as long as our software tells us our wheels are for all practical purposes, random, we can relax a little and let our built-in edge take care of itself.
Unfortunately there’s more to it than that. Casinos and wheel manufacturers rely too heavily on their Chi-Squared and Laplace Gauss tests to verify the integrity of their built-in edge.
One does not need a bias to significantly beat a roulette wheel.

Predicting
It is widely known that 'wheel clockers' can gain an advantage over the house.

On the plus side: -

1. Wheel clockers are easily identified by their modus operandi - characteristic staring into the wheel-head and late betting.
2. Wheel clocking requires much skill, practice and dedication. I suspect there are only a handful of proficient wheel clockers in the world.

On the down side: -

The ever increasing power and miniaturization of microcomputers has made roulette prediction available to anyone with the inclination to use such a device along with the ability to identify those conditions that are conducive to effective prediction techniques. Read our report
The most effective prediction models employ some form of linear regression or ‘best-fit’ algorithm. Under ideal conditions (and these are not difficult to find) advantages are typically in the region of 20% on turnover.

Touchbet Roulette
Whilst much practice is required due to significantly reduced betting envelopes (down to 600 milliseconds), Novo Touchbet live-roulette offers perfect conditions for the device equipped clocker.
Touchbet betting or a combination of live-wheel and Touchbet offer the well equipped team a zero heat betting opportunity.

We have first-hand knowledge of all the above techniques having spent seven months beating roulette in the UK during 2002/2003.
